About The Position

The CAD Technician will serve as a member of the Civil Engineering department to manage multiple tasks such as preparing plans for residential, commercial, retail, and office buildings and perform quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in civil engineering preferred
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D required

Nice To Haves

• AutoCAD certification preferred but not required
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel)
• A strong desire for continuous professional and personal development and improvement
• Ability to work independently in a team environment and to effectively manage time
• Willingness, ability, and commitment to meet task deadlines
• Good communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans for residential, commercial, retail, and office buildings
• Layout water & sewer utilities plans
• Prepare site plans
• Complete grading plans
• Prepare preliminary plats
• Perform quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates
