Technique, Inc. is a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility offering the shortest lead-times and highest quality parts in the industry. Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, vocational training
• Minimum Experience: 3-2 years of CAD experience in a manufacturing environment, 2 years design weld fixtures

• Must be able to use Solidworks, TruTops, Draftsight
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Self-managing, independent worker
• Excellent communication skills
• Good working knowledge of GD&T
• Able to read and understand CMM reports
• Basic knowledge of standard shop equipment and manufacturing processes
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Create 2D blanks for bending applications
• Create/adjust 2D and 3D models to meet customer requirements
• Create CAD models from customer blueprints, verify customer CAD models to customer blueprints
• Work with customer supplied data to set up new jobs; assist prototype technicians
• Prepare job folders and work instructions for manufacturing technicians
• Design basic restraining gauges and check fixtures to assist quality inspections
• Generate BOMs (bill of materials)
• Communicate professionally and helpfully with suppliers, customers, and other employees
• Provide technical feedback on potential design risks and product performance issues
• Review engineering changes from customers to change internal job routing
