About The Position

M&J Engineering, D.P.C. is seeking a skilled AutoCAD drafter with a solid understanding of CAD production and a genuine interest in workflow automation and programming. This position focuses on drafting and drawing organization while providing opportunities to assist in developing and testing custom AutoCAD automation tools written in Python and C#. You will work closely with a senior engineer to implement improved drafting standards, streamline drawing production, and support automation initiatives across multiple projects. The ideal candidate can follow instructions precisely, adapt to new workflows quickly, and think critically to improve efficiency and consistency. Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting; experience with Civil 3D or Revit is a plus.
Interest in or working knowledge of Python and C# for automation.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control.
Ability to work independently after initial instruction and adapt to new processes.
Analytical mindset with an interest in improving workflows and tools.

Nice To Haves

experience with GIS, data visualization, or web-based tools (e.g., HTML, JavaScript).

Responsibilities

Prepare, update, and maintain AutoCAD drawings in accordance with project and client standards.
Learn and apply new drafting workflows and automation procedures.
Assist in running and testing AutoCAD scripts and plugins.
Identify opportunities to improve drawing organization and production efficiency.
Maintain clean layer structures, file organization, and documentation standards.
