We are currently seeking a CAD Tech I to support Site Civil projects out of our Lexington office and support a variety of site civil land development and municipal infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or higher in a related field or 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred.
• At least 1 year experience as a CAD or Design Tech related to site development and/or water and wastewater system projects with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
• Proficient with the most current version of AutoCAD (Civil3D).
• Working knowledge of CAD Standards, Civil 3D features and annotation styles, surfaces, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete and constructable set of drawings for land development, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems in accordance with various client-specific design guidelines.
• Design high quality, robust, and cost-effective CAD product models by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
• Create and revise detail drawings, make required modifications to drawings, and deliver as-built drawings.
• Design to pertinent codes, such as ADA with minimal oversight.
• Creating final and complete production drawings suitable for bidding and construction.
• Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to perform drafting for grading, plan/profile sheets, details, water, sanitary, storm, paving, and drainage to produce site development and municipal construction plans.
• Assess the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations.
