For nearly two decades, we’ve partnered with public and private sector clients to deliver creative, practical, and sustainable solutions across transportation, education, healthcare, municipal, federal, commercial, and recreational sectors. We are currently seeking a CAD Tech I to support Site Civil projects out of our Lexington office and support a variety of site civil land development and municipal infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce complete, accurate, and constructable design documents for grading, roadways, parking, stormwater systems, water distribution, wastewater collection, and erosion control.

Requirements

Associates Degree or higher in a related field or 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred (demonstrated experience without a technical degree or certification will be considered).
At least 1 year experience as a CAD or Design Tech related to site development and/or water and wastewater system projects with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
Proficient with the most current version of AutoCAD (Civil3D).
Working knowledge of CAD Standards, Civil 3D features and annotation styles, surfaces, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.

Responsibilities

Produce complete and constructable set of drawings for land development, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems in accordance with various client-specific design guidelines.
Design high quality, robust, and cost-effective CAD product models by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
Create and revise detail drawings, make required modifications to drawings, and deliver as-built drawings
Design to pertinent codes, such as ADA with minimal oversite.
Creating final and complete production drawings suitable for bidding and construction
Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to perform drafting for grading, plan/profile sheets, details, water, sanitary, storm, paving, and drainage to produce site development and municipal construction plans.
Assess the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations.
