About The Position

Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, Texas is looking for a CAD Systems Specialist to join their team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer-aided Design/Engineering (CAD) Systems Specialist to join our team. You would be responsible for managing site CAD systems to support transformational site level project integration. This is a fast-paced intellectually challenging position. You will be both an integral team member and train cross-functional Project and Records Teams. We are innovating the way we design, construct and manage our Assets and are looking for an individual who can leverage technology to reach beyond what is possible today.

Requirements

  • 3 years of proven experience with AutoCAD software including use of Hexagon CADWorx, Intergraph Smart 3D/P&ID, and management of complex P&IDs, PFDs and standard engineering discipline deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and design principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Revit, Aveva E3D and P&ID, Plant 3D and/or document and data management in Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Experience managing Process Safety Information and compliance systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the refining, chemicals and/or with Lean practices.
  • Field Construction and/or QA/QC experience.
  • Supervisory experience for a CAD Team (drafters, designers, and/or technicians) or a related technical area.

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment (re)design and selection to meet project requirements via integration of 2D and 3D CAD data and documentation.
  • 3D modeling and associated system level data management - e.g. using models to create piping isometric drawings, supporting stress analysis and completing other detailed construction drawings.
  • Coordination with technical disciplines (process, piping, electrical, instrumentation and civil structural) to ensure compatibility.
  • Management of Change (MOC) QA/QC for CAD documentation to ensure site drawing integrity.
  • Manage CAD documentation check-out/check-in and validate deliverables follow applicable industry standards (ex: API, ASME) through use of Corporate Engineering Practices.
  • Validation CAD documentation meets equipment deliverables and data turnover expectations.
  • Site level management of all CAD software and licensing.
  • Staying update-to-date with the latest technology and skills to implement new CAD software.
  • Adaptive troubleshooting to resolve CAD issues with IT to find solutions and improvements.
  • Site technical trainer for CAD standards, tools and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
