About The Position

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a creative and highly motivated CADD drafter for immediate employment. This is a technical role working with various team members, engineers, and project managers on various projects. Candidates can expect a diverse, exciting, and complex assortment of project work. Ranging from industrial facilities such as water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, petrochemical plants, etc The ideal candidate will have a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration, working on various assignments. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to work on assignments in a variety of project team environments, either working amongst other project CADD team members or directly with engineers. Experience must be for industrial facilities such as water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, petrochemical plants, etc. Residential or commercial CAD experience will not be acknowledged.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 4 years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalent of experience and or education

Nice To Haves

• 2 years ACAD experience
• Revit experience desired but not required
• BIM360
• ProjectWise
• Google Earth
• Strong technical progression within civil drafting and design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Works under limited supervision.
• Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
• Uses applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.
