The CAD/CNC Programmer is responsible for converting customer drawings, templates, DXF files, and blueprints into programs that produce parts according to customer specifications. This role involves nesting parts to maximize material and machine utilization. The programmer will work closely with customer blueprints and drawings to create accurate processing programs, calculate flat layouts of formed view drawings, and assist the sales team with quoting processing inquiries. Additionally, the programmer will establish and coordinate a filing system for identifying specific part requirements and monitor and maintain parts programming software, including updating program files and backing up the system. Quality responsibility is paramount, as the programmer must provide error-free work to all internal and external customers related to their output. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
