About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for a CAD Operator to join our Water/Wastewater and Utilities team in St. Petersburg, Florida (FL)! This is not a remote position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Use drafting software assisting in the design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, water/wastewater distribution planning, master planning, and treatment plant rehabilitation and expansions.
• Manage project tasks, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinate work with other team members.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects.
• Design and produce sets of plans; implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Assist in maintaining drawing database.
• Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.
