About The Position

We are seeking a CAD/Design Manager to join our team in Richland, WA. Your role Leads and oversees the creation of engineering designs from concept to completion, ensuring they meet technical standards, project goals, and budgetary and timeline constraints. Manages a team of engineers and designers, coordinating with other departments, conducting reviews, and resolving technical issues to produce high-quality, functional products. Stays updated on industry trends, new technologies, and emerging methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage. Provides guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and analysts. Leads the development and refinement of engineering designs and drawings, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards. Conducts design reviews, provides feedback, and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations. Performs checking of Design documents produced by peers, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • AAS Degree required in Drafting or related technical degree.
  • Requires 15 years’ experience.
  • Requires 3 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Requires deep understanding of multi-discipline design principles, engineering processes, and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc…).
  • Experience administering and maintaining Autodesk Vault and SolidWorks databases.
  • Ability to motivate, guide, train and manage a team of technical professionals.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze problems, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Capacity to develop and implement strategies for design projects.
  • Meticulousness in ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing hybrid or remote teams is a highly desirable skill.
  • Architectural, Civil, Structural and Mechanical design with a strong emphasis on facility design and knowledge in Electrical and Process design preferred.
