We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Applications Specialist in our Rock Island, IL office. This position can also be Remote for the right candidate. As a Civil Engineering Applications Specialist you will be responsible for being the primary point of contact for advances and development in Autodesk and Bentley software related to civil engineering and the services IMEG offers. The Specialist will strategically advance the use of software for engineering and plan preparation while developing IMEG specific content that meets corporate standards.

Requirements

  • In-depth working knowledge of current BIM applications, with an emphasis on project setup, model management, education and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of designs techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
  • Skilled in the use of work processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to work with individuals of all levels of experience
  • Ability to reach and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so other will understand
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas to groups or individuals
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
  • Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD 3D experience required
  • OR Associate’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent, preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of AutoCAD 3D experience required

Responsibilities

  • Strategically advance the use of BIM software for engineering and systems integration design
  • Assure efficient operations in both domestic and international offices
  • Develop and maintain BIM and Revit standards
  • Maintain and support the process for project setup and project maintenance
  • Assist in the management of deployments ad updates for Autodesk and related software
  • Work to standardize workflows and practices among offices and teams
  • Develop IMEG specific content that meets Corporate standards
  • Provide desktop troubleshooting and technical support
  • Assist in the creation and presentation of education materials
  • Act as a leader and coach in the use of BIM to increase Corporate-wide confidence in BIM and Revit
  • Update standards, with or without markups
  • Support innovation, sustainability and quality plans
