Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in a CAD or Engineering Technology related pathway
- Have taken classes in AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D required
- A copy of unofficial transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for the internship.
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
- Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire
Responsibilities
- Transform initial rough designs and mark-ups into finished working documents
- Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls and coastal structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters and jetties)
- Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
- Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects
- Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages
