About The Position

We are actively looking for a CAD intern to join our Honolulu office. Moffatt & Nichol is recognized as a worldwide leader in waterfront infrastructure projects. Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in a CAD or Engineering Technology related pathway
• Have taken classes in AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D required
• A copy of unofficial transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for the internship
• Due to client parameters, selected candidate must show (post offer) proof of U.S. citizenship and clear results of a thorough background check that may include but is not limited to credit and criminal history
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
• Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire

Responsibilities

• Transform initial rough designs and mark-ups into finished working documents
• Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls and coastal structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters and jetties)
• Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
• Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects
• Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages

Benefits

• Base salary range: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description
