Alpine Ocean Seismic Survey Inc. is seeking a CAD/GIS Technician to join our team at our Northern New Jersey headquarters. This full-time position is essential for providing AutoCAD and ArcGIS design support for various offshore marine surveying projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing legible, aesthetic, and technically correct charts, drawings, and figures efficiently. This role requires managing and organizing data effectively while maintaining clear communication and proactive collaboration with project managers and field personnel. The CAD/GIS Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all design outputs meet the high standards expected in marine surveying. The position demands a high degree of self-motivation and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as the technician will need to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders. Familiarity with GPS device software and experience in surveying technology, geomatics, marine science, or geology will be advantageous. Certification in drafting and design is also a plus, along with knowledge of Autochart and land/marine surveying activities.
