CAD Engineering Intern
About The Position
We are seeking a CAD Engineering Intern to support the design and development of automated car wash facilities. This role offers hands-on experience working directly with our Sales and Construction Management teams to translate site requirements into detailed 2D and 3D facility designs. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates in engineering, architecture, or construction technology who want real-world experience in building design, industrial layouts, and project coordination. Successful interns may transition into a full-time entry-level design position upon completion of the internship.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Architectural Engineering Construction Management Or a related technical field
- Basic proficiency in CAD drafting
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software (preferred)
- Interest in building design, industrial layouts, or construction (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and CAD software
- Assist in the design of automated car wash facilities, including equipment layout, building structure, and site flow
- Collaborate with Sales to translate customer requirements into buildable designs
- Work with Construction Management to ensure drawings align with field conditions and installation requirements
- Support project documentation, revisions, and version control
- Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to real-world construction project workflows
