About The Position

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide support for Computer-Aided Engineering simulations, including implicit and explicit analyses, multidisciplinary optimization, and electromechanical (EM) simulations, to evaluate product performance and deliver component- and system-level recommendations. Collaborate with software developers and vendors to implement customized Apple-based solutions for design, simulation, and HPC, ensuring robust workflows across Thermal, Structural Integrity, Optimization, Fatigue, Electromagnetics and Fracture Mechanics. Define and optimize workflows and processes for tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, Hyperworks (Hypermesh), Comsol, Ansa/Meta and support cross-functional data exchange between Allegro and Abaqus. Provide technical support for advanced material modeling methodologies to ensure accurate test-data correlation, including the calibration and implementation of plasticity models, hyperelastic and hyper foam formulations, low-density foam behaviors, and elastomer characterization using J-curve and constitutive models. Develop training materials and administer training sessions for simulation tools and workflows. Manage HPC workflows with strong expertise in RHEL environments and HPC architectures. Develop and implement automation solutions for pre- and post-processing tasks within RHEL-based environments. Proficient in multidisciplinary optimization, structural-thermal-cooling integration, sealing performance analysis, and contact mechanics optimization. Skilled in low cycle fatigue (LCF) evaluation, creep behavior modeling, and crack propagation analysis using the Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM). Skilled in scripting with Python, Mathcad, and Fortran for statistical modeling, subroutine development, and design of experiments (DOE). An effective communicator with a strong desire to share knowledge with multi-functional teams, team members and management. Ability to write clear and concise user documentation and training. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,869 - $244,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
