We are seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to develop and maintain software integral to RTL quality flow to automate launching vendor tools.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus seven years of relevant experience or a PhD in one of the foregoing fields plus three years of relevant experience is acceptable.
  • In all cases, experience must include three years of experience with in-tool automation of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software via API language (e.g., SKILL, Lisp, TCL, etc.); three years of experience building EDA automation flows for linking
  • 3+ years of experience with EDA tools (including Cadence, Synopsys, Real Intent, and similar tools) to design custom flows and enable new tool features.
  • 3+ years of experience using software skills to synthesize tool behaviors and feedback into user-readable documentation, applying both hardware/semiconductor design and advanced software development skills. All experience may be gained concurrently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software integral to the RTL Quality Flow to automate launching vendor tools
  • Support CAD tools and methodology flows for digital and mixed-signal verification
  • Assist in the automation of digital design & verification methodologies
  • Collaborate with EDA providers to drive improvements, and bug fixes to improve RTL design flow
  • Drive consensus across business units on tool & design methodology
  • Verify CAD flows are generating correct results (flow signoff)
  • Work closely with technology and design teams to determine signoff criteria
