About The Position

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive engineering design reviews, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in engineering design reviews.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using design and analysis software tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough engineering design reviews of new and existing projects.
• Evaluate design documents, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Identify and recommend improvements to design processes and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, project managers, and quality assurance teams, to address design issues and implement solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the design review process.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare detailed review reports and documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in engineering design practices and technologies.
