The CAD Drafting Technician I at CTL|Thompson, Inc. will support engineers and senior CAD technicians in preparing and organizing laboratory data, boring logs, and drafting figures and details for reports. This full-time position is based in Denver, CO, and offers opportunities for training and professional growth within the organization.

  • Independently develop drawings, figures, and details for geotechnical investigations and earth retention projects.
  • Analyze sketches, notes, and other material to complete drawings.
  • Interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of CAD, Excel and Revit templates.
  • Coordinate and work with project team including other CAD technicians, engineers, and support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Desire to learn and apply new skills with drafting and geotechnical software.
  • Experience with gINT preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Certificate or associate degree in Drafting/CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a civil or related field.
  • 1-5 years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering or related field.
