About The Position

This internship role provides support for the CAD team, designed to offer on-the-job experience for individuals interested in advancing their careers in CAD and drafting. Interns will work under the guidance of department leaders and team members, taking on specific responsibilities and culminating in a presentation to co-workers at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Completion of a CAD / Drafter degree or currently enrolled in a CAD program entering their final year.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Blue Beam software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to represent the company ethically and professionally.
• Valid Driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Shop Drawings for Architectural Projects including Roofing and Architectural Metal.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Detail and update plans and compile submittal documents as needed.
• Exhibit technical aptitude and advanced computer skills.
• Actively participate in programs, policies, and initiatives to enhance the company's overall good.
