About The Position

As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive production drawings that translate creative concepts into build-ready plans. This role plays a critical part in ensuring signage is fabricated to exact specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required; 3D skills a plus).
• Minimum 1 year of drafting experience, preferably in signage, architectural, or fabrication environments.
• Strong understanding of materials and fabrication methods commonly used in the sign industry (e.g., aluminum, acrylic, vinyl, LED, welding, routing).
• Ability to interpret design intent and translate it into technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or other vector-based programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with CNC file prep is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings and fabrication files using AutoCAD based on design concepts, sketches, or engineered drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure drawings meet functional and aesthetic goals.
• Translate branding and architectural elements into practical sign fabrication solutions.
• Prepare layout drawings showing sign placement, installation methods, and material specifications.
• Maintain drawing standards and adhere to ADA, local building codes, and municipal sign regulations.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, engineering, or production.
• Maintain organized file structures and drawing archives.
• Assist with occasional field measurements and site surveys if needed.
