About The Position

The position involves converting client specifications into physical drawings using floor plans, quotes, and purchase orders. The role includes helping design new products, updating existing products, creating standard models, and editing any changes based on customer preferences.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in drafting from a Technical School
• Minimum 1-year experience / training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Hands on experience with CAD software
• Previous experience working with stainless steel materials
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting as a Drafter or similar role

Responsibilities

• Research and apply standard and custom product line and methods of sheet metal fabrication to product drawings
• Troubleshoot problems with other CAD Draftspersons concerning specific projects and equipment requests
• Draft detailed drawings of equipment using Auto Cad programs
• Query similar drawings previously completed by the company to assist in drawing new products
• Communicate with customers to clarify questions regarding equipment requests
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure the model is correct
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary
