About The Position

As a CAD Detailer in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings that guide the production process. Your work will ensure that all components and assemblies are accurately detailed to meet engineering specifications and manufacturing standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to interpret design requirements and incorporate feedback into your drawings. The accuracy and clarity of your CAD models and documentation will directly impact the efficiency and quality of manufacturing operations. Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a CAD Detailer or in a similar drafting role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in CAD or drafting from a recognized professional organization.
• Experience with 3D modeling software and parametric design tools.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality control processes and documentation.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to clarify design details and resolve any discrepancies.
• Update and maintain CAD databases and documentation to reflect design changes and revisions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing bills of materials and other documentation necessary for manufacturing and assembly.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input to improve product designs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
