Join our innovative and dynamic team as a CAD Designer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product designs. As a key member of our CAD team, you will be responsible for developing robust Model-Based Definition (MBD) 3D models and assemblies using advanced CAD software. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the creation of high-quality products.

  • Utilize CAD software (specifically Creo) to create detailed and robust MBD 3D models and assemblies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing both component and system-level mechanical designs, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to successfully complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Transform sketches, schematics, and verbal instructions into precise and innovative product designs, ensuring they align with project goals and client requirements.
  • Conduct thorough checks of 3D models to ensure proper fit and function, accuracy, completeness of information, and adherence to GEA standards.
  • Utilize WindChill to document engineering changes, create business change notices (BCNs), and maintain accurate engineering bills of materials (eBOMs).
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of manufacturing practices and tooling to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for production.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Creo, and experience with MBD 3D modeling.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and fabrication techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with team members.
  • Familiarity with WindChill or similar PLM software is a plus.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
