About The Position

AGRA Industries is a family owned company that has been in the Merrill, WI community since 1962. We offer design, fabrication, equipment supply, and construction to the feed, seed, grain, ethanol and biofuels industries worldwide. At AGRA Industries we pride ourselves in providing an innovative, challenging and safe work experience. Currently we are looking for a CAD Designer to join our growing team.

Requirements

• Requires one to two years of technical college and up to six months of related experience; or four years of high school and one to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
• Requires the ability to operate a CAD system, including related hardware and software, and traditional drafting equipment.
• Requires ability to 3D CAD layouts to generate production drawings.
• Requires the ability to develop a complete knowledge of the Company's drafting standards and other documentation standards as they apply to the industry.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Lead Product Design Engineer and Project Engineers to develop drawings and documents per AGRA Industries specifications and projects scope.
• Prepares CAD drawings to include flat patterns and all dimensions required to fabricate parts.
• Develops CAD drawings of piece parts, weldments, and entire machines using electronic layouts, prints, drawings and other sources.
• Creates approval drawings, shop drawings and field drawings per project scope.
• Completely fills out control sheets after each design along with completed drawings.
• Ensures that serial number sheet is completed before product is delivered when required.
• Revises drawings as directed by Engineering or Lead Product Design Engineer and follow through with AGRA Industries revision policy.
• Releases drawings to shop floor as directed by the Lead Product Design Engineer or Project Engineers.
• Takes ownership of assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documents per AGRA Industries specifications.
