Civil Science is seeking a qualified CAD Designer to join our Dickinson, Williston, or Fargo, North Dakota team. In this exciting role you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members to design a variety of civil engineering projects. Project types include large-scale land development, infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utilities. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that excels in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. We are eager to help the selected candidate grow his or her career and foresee this position growing into a larger role within our firm.

  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and review design plans, including layouts, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Update and maintain design documentation and records.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design-related matters.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design issues and suggest improvements.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D; Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
  • 4+ years of CADD experience in civil engineering profession or equivalent experience in educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and engineering
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
