About The Position
S. Lichtenberg & Co., Inc. is a leading supplier of home textiles in the U.S., catering to a diverse customer base that includes both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce platforms. The CAD Designer position is based at our Great Neck Office, where the work environment is collaborative and dynamic. The role requires a team player who can effectively support the Design Team by creating, modifying, and coloring artwork that aligns with the company's design strategy for both internal and private brands. The position offers a flexible work schedule, with in-office days from Monday to Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for utilizing multiple textile software programs and equipment to scan, clean, and color designs. You will create repeats for woven designs and develop trend-right colorways, ensuring that the artwork meets the aesthetic and functional requirements of our products. Additionally, you will create original artwork and spec sheets, while also maintaining large format printers and copyright files. This role demands a strong understanding of design and woven capabilities, as well as an excellent color sense and knowledge of color theory. You will need to work independently, manage artwork requests and deadlines, and communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
