Requirements

• 2+ years of CAD software experience.
• Basic construction knowledge required.
• Experience in the lumber/building material industry preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing and strict deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Detail-oriented with a strong history of accuracy.
• Result-driven and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Process written contracts or customer order forms to design Architectural Building Plans using CAD software.
• Create building plans consisting of building specifications, layouts, sections, and details.
• Work with Architects and Engineers to ensure building code compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Assist the Building Department in preparing accurate project estimates for materials and supplies.
• Enter customer estimates or customer orders into the ERP system.
• Perform any other assignments/projects as assigned by the department manager.
