About The Position

If you want a job where you push buttons and draft the same widget over and over… this isn’t it. Qnergy designs and builds seriously innovative clean-energy tech, and we’re looking for a CAD Drafter/Designer who can turn engineering brainpower into precise, production-ready drawings. You’ll work with engineers who love solving big problems, and you’ll own the details that make our hardware real. If you’re the kind of person who automatically zooms in to 400% to make sure everything actually lines up... you’ll fit in.

Requirements

Hands-on experience building or assembling mechanical components (you know how things actually go together)
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, MicroStation, Inventor
Prior experience as an AutoCAD drafter (required)
Strong understanding of technical writing and code standards
Ability to interpret and produce mechanical design drawings without guesswork
Clear, concise communication, verbal and written
Solid problem-solving instincts, and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative, engineering-heavy environment
Long stretches at a computer (your ergonomic setup is your best friend)
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
On-site role, your presence matters because collaboration is part of how we build great products

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Turn specs from engineers into detailed, accurate drawings for mechanical components and systems
Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other teammates to ensure designs meet technical and industry standards
Update and revise drawings based on feedback, quickly, cleanly, and with zero drama
Produce schematics, layouts, and diagrams across multiple projects
Assist with prototypes and early models
Keep documentation tight, organized, and version-controlled
