About The Position

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter Intern to join our Drinking Water business unit. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in CAD Design and Drafting while supporting our portfolio of innovative drinking water products. The intern will learn and contribute to CAD Design and Drafting processes, supporting Sustaining Engineering product improvements, quality initiatives, and ongoing product performance in the marketplace.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology with Specialization in CAD.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with engineering tools, CAD Software, Product Data Management (PDM), Solidworks experience preferred.
• Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support CAD Design and Drafting activities for existing drinking water products.
• Assist in processing design changes with Solidworks CAD software model and drafting updates.
• Manage CAD data in Solidworks PDM Vault.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, operations, and product management, to support product improvements.
• Participate in engineering change processes using Oracle Product Management Cloud (PMC).
• Learn and apply CAD and engineering change management tools to real-world projects.
• Participate in engineering build activities including BOM and Assembly Drawing reviews.
