About The Position

The WWDE CAD team is seeking a CAD Engineer to complement our team. This individual will be responsible for creating both detailed and high-level drawings of warehouse design, material handling equipment, work areas, and fulfillment center storage solutions based on current templates, as well as design support for future templates. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views. In this role you will: - Work with ambiguous direction to create deliverables that standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations - Innovate with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and mechatronics across 100+ new fulfillment and logistics centers that are being built each year. - Collaboration with internal teams to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time. - Manage multiple projects and tasks If you’re looking to be challenged in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment and you have strong technical problem solving ability, excellent project management skills then this job is for you!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
  • Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates
  • 1 year of AutoCAD experience
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit and/or Factory Design Utilities, Navisworks Manage

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of design experience
  • Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
  • Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Factory Design Utilities

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $70,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $157,700/year in our highest geographic market.
