The selected candidate will support activities related to Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for all Aeronautics programs. This role involves providing airframe design expertise to support the development and deployment of related CAD/CAM capabilities. The candidate will coordinate with the Aero IT organization to develop and deliver viable tools for the Airframe Design CAD/CAM user community. Additionally, the role includes developing supporting documentation such as methods, standards, processes, and training to facilitate tool implementation. The candidate will perform capability validation of engineering tool and process requirements and coordinate user acceptance testing for application deployments. The responsibilities also include delivering prerequisite Engineering Dataset Standards, Methods, updates for the program process, and other documentation required in support of the CAD/CAM tools. The candidate will review documentation and design artifacts for completeness, overlapping requirements, and solutions, as well as identify reuse opportunities. Supporting the resolution of technical issues within the CAD/CAM environment is crucial, as is working with stakeholders to ensure project goals and program expectations are successfully met. The candidate will facilitate discussions and disseminate technical decisions and pertinent information while providing direct user support as required.
