About The Position

The CAD/CAM Design Dental Technician will be responsible for designing and fabricating dental prosthetics, particularly focusing on All-on-X cases. This role involves collaboration with dentists, ensuring timely and accurate production of dental restorations, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The technician will utilize CAD/CAM technology to create high-quality dental solutions, contributing to innovative practices within the dental industry.

Requirements

• Experience designing All-on-X cases
• CAD / CAM designer experience with 3shape, Exocad, or other desktop scanners and designing software required
• Experience with 5 Axis Milling units required
• Dental technician background
• CDT degree preferred (not required)
• Proficiency in CAD software with a focus on dental applications
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Experience in dental assisting or knowledge of dental office procedures is preferred
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental design
• Knowledge of infection control standards within a healthcare setting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Zirkonzahn knowledge a plus
• Experience in dental assisting or knowledge of dental office procedures is preferred

Responsibilities

• Read work prescriptions and examine cases to determine design of dental restoration
• Scan, design, and fabricate dental prosthesis using CAD / CAM software and technology
• Receive and enter work orders and accompanying materials including impressions, models and components
• Manufacture/design and fit all aspects of All-On-Four, single tooth, bridge and other dental prosthetics
• Ensure the accurate and on-time manufacture of prosthetics to a patient-driven schedule
• Maintain lab equipment and instruments
• Monitor all laboratory related supplies and order through paper and/or computer-based purchase order systems
• Collaborate with dentists on case planning and design of complex cases
