About The Position

The CAD Support Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of design teams by providing high-level CAD support, troubleshooting advanced issues, and maintaining client-specific standards. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk software suite (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation) and Bentley CAD software.
  • Experience with Autodesk scripting and automation tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word, as well as PDF viewers like Nitro and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and grow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Inventor or Revit.
  • Familiarity with power/utility engineering or related industries.
  • Familiarity with custom AutoCAD and Microstation profiles.
  • Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Vault or ACC data management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced CAD support to design teams, including troubleshooting and training.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various time zones to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain and update client-specific CAD standards and profiles for Autodesk and Bentley software.
  • Assist in building and maintaining 2D/3D parts libraries.
  • Ensure proper organization and maintenance of drawing records in file management systems such as Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Vault.
  • Perform self-checks and peer reviews to ensure compliance with client-specific standards and requirements.
  • Develop and implement CAD workflows and best practices to improve efficiency.
