This role will perform a variety of design engineering activities to guide and support design, documentation, and configuration efforts in engineering.
Administer all related engineering CAD systems and execute annual upgrades.
Instruct engineers on modeling best practices, technical tips and documentation standards per DA and FAA standards. Conduct random BP checks.
Maintain currency with engineering computer and CAD technology and make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades and training.
Oversee the annual upgrade implementation on all engineering CAD systems.
Provide daily support to engineering personnel for CAD system functionality and troubleshoot problems as they arise as expeditiously as possible.
Create engineering design modifications, and repairs for Company aircraft.
Prepare engineering data in accordance with customer specifications and aircraft SIRM.
Adhere to FAA, customer, and company regulations in project design.
Coordinate with other engineers, managers, DER's and clients to ensure timely project completion.
Effectively communicate with co-workers and customers to ensure a quality product is delivered.
Formulate design of aeronautical/structural products or systems to meet customer requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
BS Engineering in AE, EE, or ME, equivalent experience will be considered.
5+ years experience.
Experience in Systems Administration of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical and Electrical, Autodesk Vault, SolidWorks design software and SolidWorks PDM.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Some knowledge of FAA guidelines.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Expert knowledge of AutoDesk (2d) Electrical and Mechanical products.
Expert knowledge in SolidWorks design software and SolidWorks PDM (Vault) software.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
Background and high level of interest in I.T. and computer programming.
Desired experience in modification of aircraft, especially Beechcraft King Air, DHC-8, Gulfstream and 737 models.
