About The Position

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Odessa, TX. The role involves supervising and coordinating activities of assemblers, mechanics, shipping & receiving, and testing in the shop to ensure conformance to Company standards and meet production specifications and requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of API Standards and specific Sections experience.
• Intermediate Computer Skills.
• Advanced Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills and Intermediate Reasoning Ability.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
• Manage local safety program within established guidelines, complete and submit monthly safety reporting and conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order and serviced as required and maintain good housekeeping in the branch facility.
• Diagnose problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interpret Company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintain time of shop employees.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Perform activities of workers supervised.
