The CAC Family Advocate/Forensic Interviewer (CACFA/FI) is responsible for working with victim advocates, children who have experienced or witnessed abuse, and their caregivers, and conducting forensic interviews under the supervision of the Lead Forensic Interviewer per the NCA accreditation standards. They work with CAC victim advocates to track the progress of the case and the activities and services for the child and their caregivers throughout the life of a case. They provide forensic interviews of children as directed by the CAC Executive Director. The CACFA/FI ensures case activity and updates from MDIT partner agencies are tracked and recorded accurately, presents information regarding any interviews they conduct and actively participates in the MDIT investigation and meetings.
