About The Position

The Installation Specialist - Manufacturing at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for performing advanced installations at the Road Ready Center. This role involves executing pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and installations of various components such as PTOs, pumps, hoses, wiring, and sub-assemblies. The position requires the ability to install electronic systems and maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
• DOT Annual Inspectors Certification.
• Valid CDL and Medical Card is preferred.
• Good customer relations and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with co-workers.
• Ability to stand over 50% of the time to perform work and complete paperwork.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds of parts, tools, supplies, and various equipment.
• Ability to push/pull wrenches to tighten and loosen bolts, vices, tool chests, and platforms up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, squat, and stoop 1/3 of the time to perform work on vehicles.
• Ability to climb up and down stairs and platforms 1/3 of the time to perform work on vehicles.
• Ability to reach below knees to pick up parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to reach to shoulder height using tools to set items on tables and to reach items to be put on vehicles.
• Ability to reach above shoulder height using tools to place parts on vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or installation environment.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform PDI's and installations including PTO's, pumps, hoses, wiring, and miscellaneous sub-assemblies.
• Install electronics such as cameras, controllers, back-up alarms, and miscellaneous lighting options.
• Assist other Installation Specialists as necessary.
• Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
• Perform all work in a safe and orderly manner while following safety rules and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
