About The Position

Operate production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products. Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment. Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems. ID and tag shop orders with the product. Retrieve/enter data into the system. Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts. Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently. Weld components based on print specifications. Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one-year mig/tig welding
  • AWS Weld Certified
  • Minimum of one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks with or without accommodation
  • Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to details
  • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business need
