The Cable Splicing Technician B (TERM) position involves various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial, underground, and buried cable systems. The technician will be responsible for adding, placing, removing, rerouting, setting up, racking, splicing, transferring, repairing, rearranging, bonding, pressurizing, and testing cables. This role requires reading and interpreting engineering prints and performing testing, locating, and repairing defects in copper and fiber optic cables using specialized testing apparatus. The position is a TERM role lasting between 6 to 30 months, primarily focused on the Fiber Modernization Project in West Virginia.
