About The Position

Requirements

• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
• Commercial Driver's License, Class A
• Must have satisfactorily completed the FPL apprentice cable splicer or another equivalent recognized program.
• Must be physically able to do all assigned tasks.
• Must be able to work in direct sunlight or at night.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two (2) years verifiable work experience as a Certified Cable Splicer

Responsibilities

• Perform all associated tasks with the construction and maintenance of all underground facilities.
• Trouble shoot and repair all underground distribution circuits and equipment.
• Work alone or be assigned to work with other Splicers or lower classifications without the direct supervision of a higher level classification.
• Safely perform all distribution underground switching and overhead switching as needed.
• Work in inclement weather for extended hours
• Travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms to restore the system.
• Ensure all assigned work being done in accordance with all company design standards and work methods.
• Prepare all job associated paperwork.
