Cable Manufacturing-QC Inspector

Now hiring an experienced Quality Control Inspector for the PM-SHIFT (7:30pm - 7:30am) to work at a Cable manufacturing company in Milton, FL. POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are an ISO-9001 Certified OEM manufacturer and we are looking for a knowledgeable Quality Control Inspector. The selected individual will be part of a growing, fast paced global manufacturer and will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Control Inspector will perform daily inspection of ALL incoming materials, in-process materials, and final assembly materials and then complete all necessary reports.
Requirements
- Must be able to read basic electrical drawings/or assembly drawings.
- Must be able to use a variety of measurement equipment such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers (in both Metric and Standard units of measure).
- Must have previous ISO-9001 or comparable QMS experience.
- Must have better than average computer skills.
- MINIMUM of 1 year experience with reading/interpreting basic electrical assembly drawings.
- MINIMUM of 1 year experience working with computers AND proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must have Steel-toed boots.
- Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience w/ wire, cable, wire harnesses, elec. assembly/testing is preferred but NOT required.
- At least 1-Year of Quality Control experience is preferred but NOT required.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspection on specific products identified by management as critical.
- Perform daily in-process inspection.
- Perform basic lab tests on random samples of incoming materials for lab testing as required by management.
- Perform daily finished goods inspection
- Perform equipment calibrations as required.
- Complete all documentation as it relates to the daily inspection process or lab test.
- Assist in the processing of Returned Goods for the field and issue appropriate reports.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
