About The Position

We are seeking 4 resources in Des Moines to start as soon as possible. Two positions will focus on spotting lifts and ensuring technician safety. Two positions will primarily handle cable placement and pulling communication lines. These roles will also involve AV, security cabling, and minor installation terminations on Category 6 and security cabling, including crimping connectors and door security devices. This work supports the Microsoft Data Center. Candidates will perform device installation and final connections, so previous low-voltage or electrical experience is required.

Requirements

Previous low-voltage or electrical experience is required.
Installation, Cat6, Cable, Punchdown
Previous history in communications or construction preferred.
Previous cable pulling/placement experience strongly desired.
Drug and 7 year check screening required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with cable and fiber installation.
Lead or foreman experience is a plus.
Ability to pull cable, splice fiber, mount enclosures, and perform minor terminations.
Lead/management experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Install communications hardware, including fiber optic cabling and electronic devices, to the highest quality standards.
Maintain a professional and safe working environment.
Place data, voice, video, and fiber optic cables.
Terminate wires for data, voice, video, and fiber optic cables.
Splice multi-conductor copper and fiber optic cables.
Install data, voice, and video hardware.
Operate power tools, drills, saws, vehicles, and man lifts.
Test data and fiber optic cables using appropriate equipment.
Maintain clean work areas and comply with all safety programs.
