Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Cable Cutting Operator to join our team within our steel building manufacturing operation. This role involves cutting heavy-duty cable to specified measurements for metal building orders. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and performing physically active tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred, preferably in manufacturing.
- Forklift or combi-lift certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
- Prior machine operation experience or willingness to be trained.
- Ability to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift or combi-lift certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate cable cutting equipment, handling cable up to 1/2” thickness.
- Measure and cut cable to required lengths based on order specifications.
- Follow written instructions to maintain accuracy and product quality.
- Perform repetitive duties while maintaining consistency and precision.
- Safely move and handle heavy materials in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
- Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production team members as needed.
