Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Cable Assembly Technician to join our team at our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. The successful candidate will support different programs ranging from commercial customers to DoD customers. The technician will be responsible for building cables in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions. Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with 2-4 years cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
  • Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during cable assembly process.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with Space addendum.
  • Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.
  • Ability to test cable assemblies for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and insertion loss.

Responsibilities

  • Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
  • Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to find faults in signal and connectivity issues.
