The Cable Assembler position involves performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This includes working on modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. The assembler will work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and utilize hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Responsibilities also include making continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies, conducting quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications, and may involve disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
