About The Position
We are an Architectural Millwork company specializing in the commercial restaurant and retail industry. Our projects involve custom products that are milled, manufactured, and/or assembled at our onsite location in Cerritos, California, before being sent out for installation. We are seeking a full-time AutoCAD Draftsman to join our Drafting Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cabinet and countertop construction, as well as the drawing standards that adhere to the industry's governing bodies. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD experience, where the drafter will be responsible for drawing and editing production shop drawings for client approval. The drafter will collaborate closely with Project Coordinators to determine the best engineering methods and will be expected to identify and communicate any potential problems with designs and construction. A solid understanding of wood and metal products is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with the necessary fabrication departments. Familiarity with cabinet and countertop construction and drawing standards is crucial. The position may require a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays during peak seasons. Proficiency in Autodesk is required, and experience with Revit or Sketch-up is a plus. Additionally, candidates should be proficient in MS Office, including Outlook and Excel, and must be detail-oriented and proactive. Experience in high-end commercial casework is also advantageous.
