About The Position

The Cabinetmaker is a skilled fabricator of wood and plastic laminate casework responsible for building any specialty request from start to finish. This role supports the entire Stanton Millworks operation and staff in customer satisfaction, high quality of work, project profitability and on-time delivery. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn all aspects of millwork and cabinet making.
  • Must have the ability to travel to jobs which may require overnight stays.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
  • Good communication skills, demonstrated through effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Create cabinets and specialty items with materials such as wood, veneer, and laminates.
  • Assist the Project Lead by cutting panel products and laminates, hand filing, spraying contact cement, sanding, drilling, assembly of case goods and other specialty items.
  • Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade furniture
  • Study blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired and plan sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
  • Continuously develop self-knowledge pertaining to new methods, tools, standards or practices related to the construction of the projects the role is assigned to.
  • Other duties as assigned.
