About The Position

Out of the Woods, located in Layton, Utah, is a woodworking and cabinetry company built on craftsmanship, quality, and pride in doing things right. We currently have an opening for a Cabinet Builder. If this sounds like you, we'd love for you to apply today! The Cabinet Builder is responsible for accurately assembling finished cabinets using wood components, machinery, and hand tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, care in handling finished wood products, and the ability to follow quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Cabinetry, woodworking, or related assembly experience
  • Ability to carefully handle wood products to maintain quality
  • Fluent in English (reading and speaking); Spanish is a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Dependable with a consistent history of attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
  • Assembly
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Experience operating power tools and woodworking equipment
  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques

Responsibilities

  • Assemble finished cabinets using pre-cut and finished wood components
  • Set up and operate woodworking machinery and equipment
  • Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble cabinets
  • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy while meeting quality standards
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding production and quality
  • Set up, maintain, and clean workstations
  • Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to management immediately
