The Cabinet Boutique designer plays a critical role in delivering seamless home building and renovation experiences for our clients. This position serves as the coordinator between end customers and clients (sales, estimating, field operations, project managers) to ensure the customers cabinets are designed completely, ordered accurately, and installed correctly – ending with the customers’ expectations met or exceeded. This role is perfect for someone who is energized by creativity, design exploration, hands-on collaboration with clients, and sales conversations. You’ll have the opportunity to guide clients through style discovery, present innovative design solutions, and elevate every project through inspired cabinetry selections. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy creating an industry defining customer service experience through meticulous cabinet design, proactive communication, and responsible ownership of parts of the cabinet design process. To fully succeed, you’ll need to be passionate about selling that experience for retail, builders and remodeler business. You’ll play a central role in helping customers visualize their space, explore creative concepts, and feel confident and inspired through the design journey.

  • Drive new business by identifying and engaging prospective clients through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Present cabinet design solutions that align with client needs and project goals, showcasing value and quality.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and track progress from initial contact through signed agreements.
  • Use your design expertise as a key selling tool—building trust, generating excitement, and converting prospects by showcasing creative, personalized cabinet solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
  • Lead creative design consultations that explore cabinet layouts, finishes, hardware, and overall style direction.
  • Inspire clients by presenting design alternatives, mood boards, and visual concepts that help them confidently envision their final space.
  • Act as liaison between clients, end customers, and cabinet vendors to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Proactively address client questions and resolve issues to deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate cabinet plans, specifications, and selections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track project progress and ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain Margin goals by entering estimates and purchase orders into QuickBooks.
  • Create detailed, aesthetically driven cabinet designs using industry-standard design software (2020 and SketchUp).
  • Oversee ordering and tracking of all cabinet items, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and vendors to confirm material availability and delivery schedules
  • Partner with KRM and other clients to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate project details.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Champion the use of design software and technology tools to improve accuracy, communication, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to share design insights, client stories, and visual content that influence promotional strategy and brand representation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities for new and existing client relationships.
  • Be results-driven with a strong passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed to meet project timelines.
  • A strong design mindset with the ability to create visually compelling and functional cabinet solutions.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020 Design, SketchUp, or similar).
  • A passion for guiding clients through creative direction and helping them discover their style.
  • Previous experience in cabinet design, kitchen/bath design, or residential remodeling is a plus.
  • Previous experience in sales and new client acquisition is a plus.
